88 FREAKSHAKES COME TO OUR YORK HOTELS RESTAURANT

We dare you to finish the 88 Freakshake. A riotously decadent concoction of local Yorvale ice cream and toppings it's torture trying to decide which bit of this psychedelic dessert to eat first. Toppings include whipped cream, fresh fruit, nuts, crunchie bars, popcorn, wafers and more all served in a vintage glass with a long spoon and a straw. If you can't bear a challenge, ask for two spoons!

Freakshakes

88 Freakshakes are £7 each and are served daily from 12 noon to 10 pm at the No 88 Walmgate restaurant in our York hotel.

88 Freakshakes will alter according to the time of year and bats wings and eyes of newts are currently being tested for the Halloween special at our York hotel.

We proudly stand in the historic neighbourhood of Walmgate, just a short walk from all the city has to offer.

At one point Walmgate had 20 pubs on the street, today it is a cool mix of independent restaurants, bars and shops and continues to Fossgate – which boasts even more independent shops, delis, bars and restaurants. Walmgate Bar proudly stands at the end of the road. It is the only existing bar in York with a Barbican and forms part of the York City Walls walk.

As a Yorkshireman, York is one of my favourite places to visit and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit York as it will add to your overall experience. I visit many hotels in the UK and Europe during the course of my job and I can not remember feeling so pleased with my choice of hotel.
