Field of Dreams VW Show

For those who want to camp out or just love cars, this show celebrates all things VW.  Held on the grounds of Escrick Park Estate in York near our boutique hotel in York kick back and enjoy the chilled-out atmosphere from 1st – 3rd September with something to suit everyone. Highlights include live bands, food traders, VW gift traders, dog show and activities for the little ones.

Now in its 6th year, unearth vintage treasures at York Does Vintage on September 10th. Merchant Adventurers’ Hall near our luxury boutique hotel in York, will transform into a vintage wonderland with an array of stunning, handpicked vintage collectables. Shoppers can enjoy the vintage tea rooms, embrace all things beauty at the vintage beauty bar or sing along to the foot tapping vintage acts.

We proudly stand in the historic neighbourhood of Walmgate, just a short walk from all the city has to offer.

At one point Walmgate had 20 pubs on the street, today it is a cool mix of independent restaurants, bars and shops and continues to Fossgate – which boasts even more independent shops, delis, bars and restaurants. Walmgate Bar proudly stands at the end of the road. It is the only existing bar in York with a Barbican and forms part of the York City Walls walk.

As a Yorkshireman, York is one of my favourite places to visit and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit York as it will add to your overall experience. I visit many hotels in the UK and Europe during the course of my job and I can not remember feeling so pleased with my choice of hotel.
