Fossgate Festival

Head down to one of York’s oldest streets, Fossgate, on 2nd June and get involved with their festival! #FossFest19 is a great way for the whole family to experience this incredible street party, with a family-friendly focus. With loads to do from eating in the street’s cafes and bars, exploring the shops and stalls or simply getting up and having a good old dance to the music, this is sure to be a great family day out!

Head to their shop on 1st August for the Bubbles & Brie Night, for only £29.50pp. You’ll get to try 5 Champagnes matched perfectly with Brie or other soft cheeses. Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre

Get up close and personal with the actors when you head to Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre on Tower street. Due to arrive back in York on 25th June, the pop-up theatre company played to over 80,000 people last summer, and this summer is set to be no different! The chosen plays for this summer are Hamlet, Henry V, The Tempest and Twelfth Night. Each of these shows is sure to be a thrilling and intimate theatrical experience. Walmgate Bar proudly stands at the end of the road. It is the only existing bar in York with a Barbican and forms part of the York City Walls walk.
