Pop-Up Shakespeare Theatre

Europe’s first ever pop-up Shakespearian theatre is coming to York this summer so don’t miss out on this unique opportunity when you stay at our York hotel. This is a dream experience for Shakespeare fans that don’t want to travel all the way to London to experience an authentic theatre experience of one of Shakespeare’s timeless plays. Inspired by the famous London Rose Playhouse built in 1587, Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre will emulate the design of a 16^th century Shakespearian theatre complete with an open-roofed courtyard and standing room for ‘groundlings’. Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Nights Dream, Richard III and Macbeth are being performed throughout the summer from June 25^th until 2^nd September.
