On 9th and 10th December, over 40 frosty ice figures will be scattered across the city for you to find, with the chance to win some fantastic prizes. In 2016 Santa made an early appearance at our boutique hotel in York, we wonder if he’ll be back this year?

The magical market stalls of St Nicholas Fair return once again to York this year from 16th November to 22nd December near to our York hotel. Wander around the traditional chalets decorated with twinkling lights as you sip on a mulled wine and pick up some last-minute Christmas presents.

Running from 18th November 2017 to 7th January 2018, enjoy vintage funfair rides, live entertainment and of course lots of Christmas shopping. This is a real must do when visiting our boutique hotel in York.

We proudly stand in the historic neighbourhood of Walmgate, just a short walk from all the city has to offer.

At one point Walmgate had 20 pubs on the street, today it is a cool mix of independent restaurants, bars and shops and continues to Fossgate – which boasts even more independent shops, delis, bars and restaurants. Walmgate Bar proudly stands at the end of the road. It is the only existing bar in York with a Barbican and forms part of the York City Walls walk.

As a Yorkshireman, York is one of my favourite places to visit and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit York as it will add to your overall experience. I visit many hotels in the UK and Europe during the course of my job and I can not remember feeling so pleased with my choice of hotel.
